Import Customer Service - Freight Forwarding

About the role

You'll take ownership of your own portfolio of clients, acting as their trusted point of contact for all import movements.

Working closely with overseas agents, suppliers and internal operations, you'll ensure shipments move efficiently while delivering the high level of customer service your clients expect.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage a dedicated portfolio of import clients
• Coordinate Import FCL, LCL and Air Freight bookings
• Collaborating with agents, overseas offices and internal departments
• Prepare quotations, maintain client rate cards and generate status reports
• Complete documentation checks and ensure shipment accuracy
• Build long-term customer relationships through proactive communication and problem solving

Skills & Experience

You will be a proactive, solutions oriented professional with a positive attitude and high attention to detail. Possessing highly developed interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to foster long term relationships. Well organised and able to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum 12 moths experience within a freight forwarding environment, essential in a Customer Service or Operations capacity. Cargowise experience is preferred.
