Data Analyst

A leading Australian energy market participant is seeking a Data Analyst to join its growing team.

Working closely with energy market team, you'll help build and maintain the data infrastructure that supports market analysis, forecasting, reporting and commercial decision-making across the NEM.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using AEMO and market datasets
• Automate data collection, processing and reporting workflows
• Support market analysis, forecasting and trading activities through high-quality data solutions
• Develop and enhance cloud-based data platforms and tools
• Partner with trading, commercial and analytics teams to deliver data-driven insights
• Improve data quality, reliability and engineering standards across the business

Experience

• 4+ years' experience in Data Engineering or Data Analytics within the energy space
• Strong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM)
• Experience working with AEMO data, including Dispatch and Settlements
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Experience with Azure, cloud platforms, ETL/ELT processes or data orchestration tools
• Energy market or renewables mandatory
