Senior Project Manager - Data Centre Relocation & Consolidation

2-Year Contract | $1,000-$1,100 per day + Super | Sydney or Canberra

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienc ed Senior Project Mana ger to lead a large-sca le Data Centre Relocation and Consolidation Prog ram for a major Australian organisation.

This is a business-critical transformation program involving the relocation, consolidation and migration of infrastructure across multiple data centre environments in Sydney and Canberra. With a planned duration of approximately two years, this role will oversee the end-to-end delivery of a complex infrastructure initiative that will underpin the organisation's future technology landscape.

We are looking for a seasoned project delivery professional who has successfully managed signifi cant data centre relocations, infrastructure migrat ions and large-scale technology transformation programs within complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major data centre relocation and consolidation program.
• Develop and execute detailed project plans, migration strategies and cutover activities.
• Manage multiple workstreams spanning infrastructure, networks, compute, storage, security and operational teams.
• Coordinate internal technology teams, external vendors and delivery partners.
• Drive project governance, reporting, risk management and executive stakeholder engagement.
• Manage dependencies, issues and critical path activities across a highly complex delivery environment.
• Ensure business continuity, operational readiness and service stability throughout all migration activities.
• Oversee relocation, migration and decommissioning activities across multiple sites.
• Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership and governance committees.

About You

You will be an accomplished Senior Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering complex infrastructure programs and data centre transformation initiatives.

To be successful, you will

• demonstrate:Proven experience leading large-scale data centre relocation, migration and consolidat ion projects.
• Extensive infrastructure project delivery experience within large enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of data centre operations and supporting technologies, including networks, compute, storage, cloud and security.
• Experience managing complex technical teams, vendors and managed service providers.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior executives and technology leadership teams.
• Experi ence within financial services, banking, superannuation or broader fin ance sectors will be highly regarded, although candidates from any industry background with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
