We are seeking an Access & Agreements Advisor to join a dynamic team supporting major energy projects across Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional who enjoys working across complex agreements, stakeholder negotiations and solving challenging access matters.

This role will suit someone with a strong legal foundation, commercial contracts experience, or specialist knowledge in land access and property agreements who is looking to work on meaningful energy infrastructure projects.

About the Role

As an Access & Agreements Advisor, you will play a key role in the delivery of land access and commercial agreements associated with petroleum and gas activities.

You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing property-related agreements while ensuring compliance with contractual, legal and governance requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting, reviewing, varying and renewing property-related agreements including access agreements, compensation agreements and commercial arrangements.
• Providing professional advice to support compliance, minimise risk and ensure effective land access outcomes.
• Negotiating agreement terms and conditions with external stakeholders and legal representatives.
• Liaising with landholders, landholder representatives and external lawyers.
• Managing indemnity claims, compensation matters and contractual disputes.
• Supporting dispute resolution processes and developing practical negotiation strategies.
• Monitoring and escalating access-related risks and complex matters.
• Working collaboratively with internal teams including legal, commercial, environment and project stakeholders.
• Improving agreement processes, systems and governance practices.

About You

You will be an experienced agreements or commercial professional with a strong understanding of contract negotiation and stakeholder engagement.

To be successful, you will have:

• A law degree or relevant legal/commercial qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience specialising in negotiation and delivery of property-related agreements.
• Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements.
• Strong understanding of legal principles relating to land access, property agreements and commercial arrangements.
• Experience negotiating with external legal representatives.
• Strong conflict resolution and influencing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence working independently while contributing positively within a team environment.

Highly Desirable Experience

Experience within the following areas will be highly regarded:

• Coal Seam Gas (CSG), oil & gas, energy or resources sectors.
• Conduct and Compensation Agreements.
• Land access negotiations.
• Rural property agreements.
• Commercial/legal advisory roles.
• Experience working with landholders and external stakeholders.
