The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major technology uplift stream within a secure government environment.

This is a senior delivery role responsible for owning the end-to-end lifecycle of a project stream, ensuring successful delivery outcomes through effective governance, stakeholder engagement, planning, risk management, and coordination of multidisciplinary delivery teams.

You will work closely with client stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery partners to ensure work packages are delivered efficiently and in alignment with organisational objectives, governance requirements, and agreed commercial arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

Own and manage the full lifecycle of an uplift project stream from planning through to delivery.

Develop, maintain, and control project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and delivery plans.

Provide governance reporting including project status, KPIs, milestones, risks, issues, and delivery outcomes.

Ensure alignment with client governance frameworks, delivery standards, and reporting expectations.

Lead stakeholder engagement activities across business, technical, vendor, and executive stakeholder groups.

Negotiate, refine, and manage delivery outcomes within agreed commercial engagement models.

Coordinate internal and subcontracted delivery resources to achieve project objectives.

Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and mitigation strategies.

Support Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain project documentation, governance artefacts, reporting packs, and delivery plans.

Drive successful end-to-end solution delivery while managing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations

What You'll Need

Demonstrated experience managing complex technology, infrastructure, or digital transformation projects.

Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across business and technical teams.

Experience managing project governance, executive reporting, schedules, KPIs, and delivery outcomes.

Strong risk, issue, dependency, and change management capability.

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and subcontracted delivery resources.

Strong planning, negotiation, and commercial engagement management skills.

Experience delivering work within Agile project delivery environments.

Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience working within government, defence, or other highly regulated environments would be highly regarded.

Knowledge aligned to SFIA capabilities including ITCM5, DLMG5, RLMT6, PEMT6, RESC5, SORC4, METL5, PGMG6, and PRMG6 would be highly regarded.
