About The Opportunity

Council is seeking a motivated and community-minded Ranger to join our dedicated Ranger Services team.

You'll spend your days protecting public safety, responding to community concerns, enforcing legislation, and educating residents and businesses to encourage responsible behaviour. With a mix of compliance, customer service and problem-solving, no two days are ever the same.

As a Ranger, You Will

• Enforce legislation relating to companion animals, public spaces, environmental protection and parking.
• Investigate customer requests and complaints, undertaking appropriate regulatory action where required.
• Deliver professional, accurate and timely customer service while educating the community and promoting compliance with relevant legislation.
• Conduct patrols and inspections to help maintain safe, accessible and well-managed public spaces.
• Prepare reports, legal documentation and evidence to support investigations and court proceedings where required.

To be successful in this role, you'll have strong communication and conflict resolution skills, be confident interpreting and applying legislation, and enjoy working independently while building positive relationships within the community. You'll be able to make fair, informed decisions and remain professional in a dynamic environment.

You'll also hold a Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) or Certificate IV in Government Investigations (or equivalent experience), a current Class C Driver Licence, and be eligible for appointment as a Justice of the Peace.

Remuneration

$84,869 - $98,270 per annum plus superannuation and a lease back vehicle
