About the Role
As the Export Administrator, you'll coordinate the end-to-end administration of export sea freight shipments, ensuring documentation, bookings and customer requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Preparing and processing export documentation including Bills of Lading, Export Declarations (EDNs), Certificates of Origin and other export documentation
- Coordinating export bookings with shipping lines, transport providers and freight partners
- Managing shipment schedules, cut-off times and cargo movements
- Liaising with customers, overseas agents, customs brokers, and regulatory authorities
- Monitoring shipment progress and resolving operational issues
- Preparing freight quotations and assisting with invoicing and supplier payments
- Maintaining accurate shipment records and system updates
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Border Force (ABF), DAFF Biosecurity and international shipping requirements
- Contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency
About You
To Be Successful, You'll Ideally Bring
- Minimum 3 years' experience in export administration, freight forwarding or international logistics
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience coordinating international sea freight shipments
- Strong knowledge of export documentation and freight processes
- Understanding of Incoterms and Australian export requirements
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with freight systems such as Expedient, ImpexDocs or ICS will be highly regarded
- Experience within agricultural exports will be advantageous, but not essential
