We are seeking a suitably qualified
Exercise Physiologist to join our Outpatient Rehabilitation Unit and Inpatient areas. In this role you will provide leave coverage for the team on a permanent part-time basis, working 19 hours per week on a Monday to Friday basis. You will provide evidence-based exercise physiology services, supporting patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their health and wellbeing.
The Position
- Provide clinical exercise physiology services to patients at St John of God Ballarat Hospital.
- Assess patients and develop individualised exercise and treatment plans.
- Prescribe, deliver and supervise individual and group exercise programs, including gym and hydrotherapy.
- Provide evidence-based care across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
- Work collaboratively with patients and the multidisciplinary team to achieve treatment goals.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust exercise programs as required.
- Complete clinical documentation, administration and relevant reporting.
- Support Allied Health Assistants and students as required.
- Contribute to quality improvement, professional development and a supportive team environment.
About You
You will be a qualified Exercise Physiologist with a tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology, Sports Science or a related discipline and be eligible for accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) with eligibility for a Medicare Provider number.
You will have experience in assessment, exercise prescription and progression for a range of patient populations, using evidence-based clinical practice.
You will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and develop individualised exercise programs that support positive patient outcomes. Your ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement will be essential.

- Salary $72,992 to $100,920 (pro rata basis for part time) plus 12% superannuation
