Private Energy Partners (PEP) is a dedicated affiliate of Quinbrook, a specialist investment manager focused exclusively on the infrastructure needed to drive the energy transition in Australia, North America and the UK/Ireland.
We are specialist project developers, builders, and operators supporting the delivery of innovative energy infrastructure solutions that create long-term value for Quinbrook and its many stakeholders
Reporting to the Stakeholder and Community Relations Manager, and based in Brisbane, you will support engagement with our project neighbours, traditional owners, community groups and other key stakeholders on Private Energy Partners' development projects throughout Australia.
The Role
- Support implementation of community, traditional owners and stakeholder engagement plans and their associated activities on projects across Australia.
- Represent Private Energy Partners to local communities, traditional owners and stakeholders, through written, phone and in-person communication and engagement activities.
- Support the Stakeholder and Community Relations Manager with project management, including Consultation Manager data entry, updating Social PinPoint, liaising with suppliers and engagement related administration.
- Work with specialist consultants to develop engagement plans which support the projects and all stakeholders on an equitable basis
Key Accountabilities
Support the Development Team
- Implement Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plans for all projects in development throughout Australia.
Community and stakeholder engagement
- Plan community and stakeholder engagement activities and events, including but not limited to stakeholder meetings and briefings, and community information sessions.
- Frequently visit project sites and participate in engagement activities.
- Draft responses to community and stakeholder enquiries.
- Participate in various forums to support engagement activities
- Maintain the project communication channels: 1800 hotline and email inbox.
Communication
- Draft communication materials to support engagement activities, including key messages and collateral – e.g. fact sheets, website copy, emails to stakeholders.
Project management
- Undertaking daily media monitoring
- Maintaining the Consultation Manager database on behalf of Private Energy Partners Australia (including entering stakeholders and interactions across all projects)
- Liaising with suppliers including printers, mail distribution houses and graphic designers.
- Raising purchase orders
- Co-ordinating forum planning
Experience
- Essential - 4+ years’ experience in stakeholder engagement, community relations or communications
- Preferred – knowledge of project development and the social impacts to communities
- Preferred - Experience working on multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Preferred – Experience in working with Traditional Owners in line with a Reconciliation Action Plan
- Preferred - Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team and liaising with different internal subject matter experts.
Education
- Current driver’s license
- Essential - Tertiary qualification in community engagement, community relations, stakeholder management in energy or infrastructure
Capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information into easy-to-read messaging.
- Well-developed analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse development team.
- Demonstrated ability to engage on matters of concern with stakeholders where required
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain effective and collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholders.
