GWG Recruitment is proud to be partnering with Container Traders in the search for a highly organised, proactive and commercially minded Executive Operations Officer.

Container Traders is a 100% Australian-owned business that has been selling, hiring and modifying shipping containers across Australia since 2016. With an outstanding reputation for customer service and quality, the business has helped thousands of customers, from homeowners to large commercial organisations, find practical storage and space solutions.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll play a pivotal role across the business by coordinating priorities, driving accountability, improving systems and ensuring communication flows effectively across Sales, Finance and Operations. You'll be instrumental in turning business priorities into action while supporting the continued growth and success of the organisation.

About the role

You'll work closely with the General Manager and a collaborative leadership team.

No two days will be the same. That's exactly what makes this opportunity so rewarding. You'll combine executive support with operational coordination and continuous improvement, ensuring key initiatives stay on track and the business continues to operate efficiently.

Responsibilities will include

  • Supporting the General Manager with day-to-day operational priorities and executive administration.
  • Coordinating actions arising from leadership meetings and ensuring agreed outcomes are delivered.
  • Tracking key business initiatives and providing regular progress updates.
  • Coordinating cross-functional projects across Sales, Finance and Operations.
  • Developing and maintaining operational documentation, policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Reviewing business processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.

About you

You're someone who naturally creates structure, follows things through and enjoys bringing order to busy environments.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience supporting senior leaders in an Executive Assistant, Operations, Business Support or Project Coordination role.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confidence building relationships and working collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning new systems.
  • Exceptional professionalism and personal presentation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a broad, business-critical role where they can make a genuine impact and become a trusted partner to the General Manager.
