Marketing and Design Specialist
Mojo Recruit
Tamworth, Toowoomba or Wagga Wagga preferred — other regional branches considered
Do you want to use your design and marketing skills to help the needs of rural Australia?
Are you a seasoned print, web and digital designer who has genuinely developed your craft?
Excellent opportunity for an experienced in-house creative to take the reins for a world-leading Australian brand — and live and work in the regional communities you're producing for.
Clipex began from a strong desire to help people and find an easier way for farmers. An idea that started in 2006 grew to become a world-leading fencing and stockyard system that is still family-owned and run today.
More than just fencing, Clipex now provides a range of innovative solutions that help rural Australians and farmers around the globe every day and has significant growth plans. Clipex is making significant advances in animal handling and permanent yard systems.
About the role
This is a hands-on, full-spectrum in-house role. You will take a product or an event from brief to market across every channel it needs — a press ad placed in regional papers, a multipage brochure, an eDM out to our customer base, a landing page to carry the digital campaign, and the social content to support it.
Reporting to the Marketing Director & Brand Champion, you will be the person who makes it, not the person who briefs it out. You'll work alongside our Branch Managers and Solutions Specialists, who will help you get across the intricacies of the product range, and you'll be out in the communities we operate in — at field days, expos and events.
We're looking for someone who has already done this work, at pace, and can prove it. You should be able to walk us through a portfolio that shows real depth in print and web and digital, produced to a professional standard and delivered on time.
What you'll be producing
- Press advertising, including regional press — with a working understanding of newsprint, ink weight and the technical constraints of the medium
- Multipage documents — brochures, catalogues and product literature built properly, with document-wide formatting, master pages and style sheets
- eDMs — designed, built and deployed to our customer base
- Landing pages and web content — confidently building a page that sells the features and benefits of a product and supports the digital campaign behind it
- Social content that ties the campaign together across channels
- Print production management — working with printers and suppliers on quotes, specifications, schedules and quality control
- Photography and video content to support the above
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of creative work — brief, concept, design, final artwork and delivery, compliant with each medium's technical requirements
- Produce on-brand creative across print, digital, web and video that reflects the Clipex brand position
- Write and develop copy that strengthens the message alongside the visual
- Support product launches, promotions and event participation with the collateral each requires
- Develop and maintain website content, including researching product information and improving the site as a customer resource
- Manage digital platforms — EDM, banner advertising and social media — and the technical requirements specific to each
- Monitor engagement and campaign performance, and report on results against intent
- Maintain brand consistency across all communications, internally and externally, and help evolve the brand as the business grows
- Coordinate external vendors — printers, agencies, suppliers — including quotes, timelines and production schedules
- Keep accurate records and follow data storage and IP protection protocols
- Keep your technical skills up to date
The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Demonstrated industry experience in a design and marketing role — you've developed your craft and can produce across multiple formats with proficiency and to deadline
- A portfolio that clearly evidences print, web and digital work. This role is print, web and digital led; motion and video are supporting skills, not the core of it
- Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite — InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
- Genuine print production knowledge — prepress, colour, stock, newsprint and supplier liaison
- CMS and web capability, with WordPress highly regarded
- Bulk email / eDM platform experience, including personalisation and coding for customisation
- Strong copywriting and communication skills
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable running multiple projects at once
- Enthusiastic, pleasant demeanour and strong values — you'll be dealing with staff, suppliers, customers and communities
Bonus points for
- Still photography and video capture and editing
- Drone image capture
- 3D image generation from CAD files
- HubSpot or comparable CRM experience — segmentation, automation, targeted content delivery
- An agricultural background or firsthand knowledge of the industry
What's on offer
- Join a rapidly growing family-owned business that is a world leader in their field
- Join a business that looks after its people and is strongly driven by its values
- Real ownership of the creative output of a national brand, with your work in front of customers across Australia and overseas
- Base yourself in a regional centre — Tamworth, Toowoomba and Wagga Wagga preferred — with the support of local Branch Managers and Solutions Specialists
