About The Role

As the Structures Rail Labourer, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s Network Development Asset Management group. You will be responsible for carrying out tasks associated with maintenance and renewal projects including track, civil structures, and bridges for the Victorian Rail Network under the direction of the relevant supervisor.

Key Accountabilities Include

  • Participating in the replacement or renewal of bridges, culverts, signals structures, signage, platforms, and other miscellaneous structures.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies after hours as required.
  • Completing all necessary reports, material returns, timesheets, requisitions, claim forms etc.
  • Availability to work away from home in various locations across Victoria

Our ideal candidate will possess the following

  • Valid Victorian Driver’s license
  • Heavy Rigid Driver’s Licence (desirable but not essential).
  • Excavator and plant tickets (desirable but not essential).
  • Working at Heights, EWP and Confined Space (desirable but not essential)
  • Welding or steelwork tickets would be highly desirable
