About The Role
We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to join a major digital transformation program focused on delivering contemporary, user-centred digital products and services. Working within an agile delivery environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design intuitive digital experiences that simplify complex business processes and improve customer outcomes.
This position offers the opportunity to influence product direction from discovery through to delivery, balancing customer needs, accessibility standards and technical requirements to create engaging and practical digital solutions. You will play a key role in shaping user experiences across multiple digital platforms while contributing to the continuous improvement of design practices and product delivery.
Role: Product (UX/UI) Designer
Location: Parramatta and Sydney CBD
Daily Rate: $950.00 + Super
Start Date and Duration: ASAP - 11 month contract
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end UX and UI design activities across discovery, design, testing, implementation and continuous improvement.
- Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews and usability testing to understand customer needs and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop customer journey maps, service blueprints, personas, user flows and interaction models.
- Design wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity interfaces using Figma.
- Create accessible, intuitive and engaging user experiences aligned with recognised accessibility standards and best practice.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers and delivery teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Facilitate design workshops, ideation sessions and co-design activities with business stakeholders and end users.
- Present design concepts, research findings and recommendations to project teams and senior stakeholders.
- Maintain and contribute to design systems, reusable components and UX standards to ensure consistency across digital products.
- Translate complex business and regulatory requirements into simple, customer-focused digital experiences.
- Support agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, showcases and retrospectives.
- Analyse customer feedback, analytics and usability insights to continuously optimise digital products.
- Ensure designs consider technical feasibility, scalability, privacy and security requirements.
- Champion human-centred design principles and advocate for best-practice UX methodologies across delivery teams.
- Stay informed of emerging UX trends, accessibility requirements and digital design innovations.
About You
- Demonstrated experience designing digital products from concept through to delivery within complex enterprise or government environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including prototyping, design systems and high-fidelity interface design.
- Strong understanding of user-centred design methodologies, design thinking and human-centred design principles.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing and interpreting customer insights.
- Ability to create user journeys, personas, information architecture and interaction design artefacts.
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum delivery environments alongside multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards including WCAG and inclusive design practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Experience working with digital transformation, enterprise applications, CRM platforms or workflow solutions will be highly regarded.
- Exposure to AI-enabled products, automation initiatives or intelligent workflow solutions is desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Digital Design or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes within project timeframes.
- Full Australian working rights are essential. Sponsorship is not available for this opportunity. Applicants must hold unrestricted Australian work rights, permanent residency, Australian citizenship or a long-term valid work visa permitting full-time employment.
