About The Role

As the Team Leader, Housing Support Programs, you'll provide operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering housing and homelessness services across Southern Metropolitan Melbourne. You'll oversee day-to-day service delivery, support staff to manage complex client needs, and help ensure people receive high-quality, person-centred support that promotes long-term housing stability and wellbeing.

Based at the Victorian Pride Centre in St Kilda, you'll work closely with the Program Manager and a range of internal and external stakeholders to drive service excellence, strengthen team performance, and contribute to continuous service improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and supporting a team of case managers, support workers and lived experience workers.
  • Overseeing intake, assessment, case management and housing pathways for individuals and families.
  • Supporting staff to manage complex needs, risk and crisis situations.
  • Driving quality service delivery, workforce development and team performance.
  • Building strong partnerships with community organisations, housing providers and government stakeholders.
  • Contributing to service planning, reporting, compliance and continuous improvement activities.

About You

You'll be a confident and supportive leader who is passionate about helping people and creating positive outcomes for vulnerable communities.

To Be Successful, You'll Bring

  • A tertiary qualification in health, health management, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience leading teams within health, housing, homelessness, or community services.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and relationship-building abilities. A commitment to person-centred, culturally safe and trauma-informed practice.
  • An understanding of service delivery, compliance and funding requirements within community services.
