1st Year Transmission Lineworker Apprentice Salary - $80,974 per annum (plus Super)

As a Transmission Lineworker Apprentice, you'll work on the high-voltage towers and powerlines that keep electricity flowing across the state. This isn't domestic electrical work – it's a unique trade that puts you at the heart of Tasmania's energy network.

Working towards a Certificate III in ESI Transmission Overhead (UET30521) you’ll:
- Learn both on the job and in the classroom
- Work alongside experienced Lineworkers and industry experts
- Develop practical skills using industry-leading equipment and technology
- Help maintain and build Tasmania's transmission network
- Travel across Tasmania and gain experience on major projects
- Receive ongoing support, coaching and feedback as you develop your skills

About You
First and foremost, you will be motivated and passionate about building your career whilst making a meaningful difference in your community.
To be eligible to participate in our Apprenticeship program, you must have the ability to work towards completion of the relevant trade Certificate, adhere to health, safety and environmental practices in the workplace, possess strong communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with peers, leaders and our customers.
You will need to be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and hold a current driver’s licence (minimum provisional licence) by commencement date in February 2027 due to the requirement of travel in this role.
You will need to have completed Year 12 and passed Maths, English and preferably a Science subject, OR have completed pre-vocational studies in Certificate II in Electrotechnology (or equivalent) OR have relevant work experience to be eligible.

This role is based out of our Devonport depot.
