Quality Technician - Wind Turbine Project

Site-Based | 12 month contract | South East Queensland

About The Role

As a Quality Technician, you will support quality assurance and quality control activities across wind turbine installation, commissioning, and servicing phases. You will play a key role in ensuring OEM standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements are met throughout construction and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality inspections on turbine components, towers, mechanical and electrical works, and installation activities
  • Support non-conformance reporting (NCR), corrective actions, and close-out documentation
  • Assist with incoming goods inspections and verify compliance with technical and project requirements
  • Maintain accurate QA/QC records, ensuring documentation is complete and audit-ready
  • Support document control processes, ensuring records are correctly stored, updated, and maintained
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, construction teams, subcontractors, and HSE personnel to maintain quality standards
  • Participate in toolbox talks, quality briefings, inspections, and continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure all work aligns with Australian standards, project specifications, and company procedures

About You

  • Experience in QA/QC, electrical or mechanical inspection, or a similar technician role (wind or heavy industry experience highly regarded)
  • Previous experience as a Wind Turbine Service Technician is highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, defect reporting, and documentation control
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, checklists, engineering specifications, and installation procedures
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary site teams
  • Familiarity with wind turbine installation or large-scale construction environments is an advantage
