Project Engineer

The Company

Our client is a well-established Australian food manufacturing business with a strong reputation in the industry. With continued investment across its operations, they are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of capital and operational projects across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role

An exciting opportunity for a hands-on Project Engineer to manage engineering and capital projects across the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility through to design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.

• Manage end-to-end delivery of CAPEX and operational engineering projects
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, budgets and schedules
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery
• Oversee installation, construction, commissioning and handover activities
• Manage project budgets, forecasts and cost control
• Conduct risk assessments including HAZOPs and SWMS
• Ensure projects comply with WHS, environmental, food safety and site requirements

Your Background

• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or similar
• 3+ years' experience in Project Engineering, ideally within manufacturing or food processing
• Demonstrated experience delivering capital projects (CAPEX)
• Strong technical engineering knowledge across mechanical, electrical and/or process projects
• Strong contractor and vendor management experience
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
