About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lawyer or Senior Associate to join our Real Estate - Construction team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will work across a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious construction matters. Experience across both areas will be highly regarded.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have at least four years’ post-admission experience in construction law gained at a well-regarded firm or in a sophisticated in-house environment. You will be commercially astute, detail-oriented and collaborative, with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with internal and external clients.

You will work on high-profile matters within a collegial team where quality work, collaboration and professional growth are recognised and supported.

What does the role involve?

• Drafting and negotiating construction documentation
• Providing advice and managing construction disputes including adjudications
• Managing litigation matters, primarily in the Supreme Court and in arbitrations across various Australian jurisdictions
• Participating in business development and client relationship activities
• Contributing to the firm’s learning and development program in your area of expertise
• Contributing knowledge and learning resources, including precedents
• Supporting matter management, including estimates, invoicing and fee collection
