We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Specialist to support the implementation of a new enterprise Risk Management Tool within a large Australian Government organisation.

This is a specialist role for someone who understands enterprise risk management and can translate risk frameworks, governance requirements and business processes into an effective technology solution.

You will provide subject matter expertise throughout the implementation lifecycle, working across risk framework design, system requirements, configuration, testing, reporting and governance.

Key responsibilities include

  • Analyse and interpret enterprise risk management frameworks, policies, procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure the new platform supports enterprise, strategic, operational, project and compliance risk processes.
  • Review and validate risk taxonomies, categories, consequence and likelihood matrices, treatment plans, controls and reporting structures.
  • Translate risk and governance requirements into detailed system configuration specifications.
  • Provide specialist advice across solution design, configuration, testing and deployment.
  • Develop and support UAT scenarios and test cases.
  • Review and update risk management documentation, policies, procedures and reporting requirements where required.
  • Ensure the solution aligns with Commonwealth Government risk management and governance requirements.

You will have

  • 5+ years' experience in enterprise risk management within the Australian Public Sector or a similarly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the implementation, enhancement or optimisation of a GRC platform, risk management information system or similar governance solution.
  • Strong knowledge of the Commonwealth Risk Management Policy, PGPA Act 2013 and APS governance and assurance frameworks.
  • Experience translating risk and governance requirements into system or configuration requirements.
  • Experience with risk reporting, controls, risk taxonomies and governance processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation, reports, briefing papers and training materials.
