About The Company

We are a well-regarded construction business delivering high-quality commercial and industrial projects. With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to safety, quality and teamwork, we are looking for an experienced Leading Hand to support site operations and drive successful project outcomes.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager / Project Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day coordination of site activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will be responsible for supervising subcontractors, managing site logistics and supporting the delivery team to meet programme and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site Labourer to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Assist in implementing construction programs and site plans
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations including deliveries and trade coordination
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and site safety standards
  • Support quality assurance by monitoring works and ensuring compliance with specifications
  • Identify and address site issues, risks and defects early
  • Maintain clear communication with site teams and management
  • Promote a positive, productive and safe site culture

About You

Experience: Minimum 5+ years experience in a Leading Hand or similar role. Background in commercial or industrial construction projects. Experience coordinating multiple trades and site activities.

Skills & Attributes: Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to coordinate trades and manage workflow on-site. Solid planning and organisational skills. Proactive approach to problem solving and safety management. Team-focused with a commitment to delivering quality projects.

Qualifications & Licences: Trade qualification preferred. Current First Aid Certificate. Relevant site tickets/training advantageous (e.g. working at heights, confined spaces). Driver’s Licence required.
