About the role

We are seeking experienced .NET Developers to join a project team delivering enhancements, improvements and modernisation across critical enterprise applications.

Please note: Candidates must hold an active

NV1 security clearance prior to commencement.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), developing and enhancing C#-based, n-tier enterprise applications and associated documentation.
  • Develop automated application build and deployment scripts using .NET Framework, modern .NET and the broader Microsoft technology stack.
  • Develop backend solutions using Web API and SQL technologies.
  • Follow Agile software development methodologies using tools including Azure DevOps.
  • Develop well-designed, documented and testable code, including participating in peer reviews.
  • Liaise with technical and business stakeholders to facilitate the rapid resolution of production issues and faults.
  • Analyse complex technical issues and contribute to business improvement and change initiatives.
  • Support stakeholder engagement across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Provide specialist technical advice, guidance and reporting.
  • Apply sound judgement and technical expertise when making and communicating decisions.
  • Contribute to preparation and delivery activities within established readiness frameworks.
  • Support continuous improvement, application modernisation and technology uplift initiatives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required by the relevant Director, Team Leader or delegate.

Highly desirable criteria

  • Demonstrated experience with Agile software development methodologies and associated documentation.
  • Strong experience with C# and .NET Framework and modern .NET.
  • Strong backend development experience using Web API and SQL technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience across the full SDLC.
  • Strong experience developing automated build and deployment scripts.
  • Experience developing cloud-based applications.
  • Experience working with Visual Studio.
  • Ability to produce well-designed, documented and testable code.
  • Experience conducting peer reviews of code, products and scripts.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and deliver quality outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to facilitate change and contribute to business improvement.
  • Strong understanding of professional integrity and working within legislative and policy frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Azure DevOps and Miro or similar project collaboration tools.

Desirable criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience or the ability to quickly develop knowledge of Australian electoral law and practice.
  • Experience working with cloud-based technologies.
  • Experience in technical analysis and solution design.
  • Experience implementing integration requirements and developing end-to-end solution designs.
