The Contracts Lead will play a critical role in further developing the Site Services contract portfolio including the engagement of additional Indigenous business partners. Some of the responsibilities will include;

  • Lead the development, negotiation and administration of complex site service contracts.
  • Manage contract performance, compliance, risk, variations and claims.
  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders and key suppliers.
  • Support procurement strategies that maximise value while aligning with Indigenous procurement objectives.
  • Partner with Indigenous-owned businesses and joint ventures to develop long-term, sustainable commercial relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, contract governance and commercial outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to contracts and procurement team members.
  • Support dispute resolution and negotiation activities where required.
  • Develop and implement best-practice contract management frameworks and processes.

You will be an experienced contracts leader across commercial and procurement ideally within a resources environment. You will bring;

  • A track record of success managing high value contracts, commercial negotiations and developing supplier relationships
  • Deep knowledge of contract law, procurement methodology and commercial risk management
  • Experience overseeing a range of site and or services contracts
  • Strong analytical, financial and contract reporting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and communicate with site based stakeholders and community groups
  • Experience with developing Indigenous procurement and contract engagement
  • The role will require some regional WA travel, approximately once a month
