The Opportunity

As the Project Manager, you'll join a supportive team where each PM runs a portfolio of projects with the assistance of a dedicated Contracts Administrator, and you'll be responsible for managing both the client relationship and project delivery through to a smooth handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive construction project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to define project requirements.
  • Oversee daily construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to plans and timelines.
  • Supervise subcontractors, site crews, and suppliers to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
  • Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates.
  • Monitor expenses, control costs, and manage change orders.
  • Approve vendor and subcontractor invoices and ensure proper documentation.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Provide regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including logs, reports, and records.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Project Manager for a Head Contractor / Residential Builder in Australia.
  • Medium Density housing experience highly regarded.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management essential.
  • Knowledge of the VIC construction market and subcontractors.
  • Well-presented with strong communication skills.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
