About the Role

You will lead long-term mine planning activities, including life-of-mine planning, annual and quarterly scheduling, mine design and technical studies. You will provide leadership within the Technical Services team and contribute directly to the safe and successful development of Sunday Creek into a producing underground mine.

What You'll Drive

Long-term mine planning, scheduling and technical studies

Development of annual, quarterly and life-of-mine mine plans

Support for PFS and FS-level studies

Mine design and production optimisation initiatives

Drill and blast design, performance monitoring and continuous improvement

Technical input into ventilation and mine infrastructure planning

Budgeting, forecasting and reconciliation activities

Collaboration with geology, geotechnical, survey, environmental and operations teams

Communication of plans, risks and opportunities to key stakeholders

Technical mentoring and development of Mining Engineers and future graduate engineers

Participation in site inspections, hazard identification and safety initiatives

Who You Are

You're an experienced underground mining professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and influencing the long-term success of an operation.

You can confidently move between strategic planning and operational realities, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and provide the technical leadership required to build a high-performing underground mine.

Your Background

Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline

Extensive underground hard rock mining experience, ideally in sub-level stoping operations

Demonstrated experience in long-term planning, life-of-mine scheduling and technical studies

High proficiency in Deswik or equivalent mine planning software

Experience with ventilation and/or paste-fill design considerations (desirable)

Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills

Effective planning, organisation and time-management abilities

Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior engineers

Reports To: Underground Development Manager
