The Opportunity
As the incoming Payroll Officer, you will work closely with Payroll, People & Culture, and business stakeholders to manage the day-to-day payroll function within a well-established national organisation. You will be responsible for resolving payroll enquiries, processing payroll transactions, ensuring legislative compliance, and identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a designated employee group.
- Process payroll changes including new starters, terminations, adjustments and retrospective payments
- Respond to payroll enquiries and provide accurate advice to employees and stakeholders
- Support month-end, year-end and reporting requirements
- Maintain payroll compliance with relevant legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
About You
- Previous experience working in a complex payroll environment
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
- Experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) or SAP SuccessFactors will be highly regarded
