Garment Technician

Are you an experienced Garment Technician looking for your next opportunity, currently between roles, or working freelance and open to additional projects?

We work with a broad portfolio of fashion and retail clients across Melbourne and are looking to connect with talented Garment Technicians who are available for temporary, contract and freelance assignments.

The Opportunities

Our clients range from established Australian retailers and fashion brands through to growing businesses, with opportunities varying from short-term cover and project work through to longer-term contracts.

Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include:

• Conducting garment fittings and providing technical fit comments
• Preparing and maintaining technical specifications and measurement charts
• Reviewing samples and identifying fit, construction and quality issues
• Liaising with designers, product developers, buyers and suppliers
• Managing fit approvals and sample processes
• Reviewing workmanship, construction and garment quality
• Supporting production and critical path timelines
• Working across a variety of apparel categories

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have previous experience as a Garment Technician / Apparel Technician
• Are available immediately or at short notice
• Are currently between permanent positions
• Work on a freelance basis and are looking for additional projects
• Are open to temporary or contract assignments
• Have strong garment construction, fit and technical knowledge
• Can confidently step into a fast-paced fashion or retail environment
