About the Role

Reporting to a Manager or Partner, you'll manage a varied portfolio of clients independently while providing day-to-day guidance to junior team members. This isn't a compliance-only role you'll have genuine exposure to advisory work and the opportunity to build client relationships.

Your responsibilities will include

• Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
• Managing a portfolio of SME and HNWI clients with a high degree of autonomy
• Identifying tax planning opportunities and presenting recommendations to clients
• Reviewing and coaching the work of junior accountants and graduates
• Supporting Managers and Partners with advisory engagements and special projects
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive service

About You

You're a CA or CPA-qualified accountant with solid public practice foundations, a growing desire to work beyond compliance, and the confidence to engage clients directly.

• CA or CPA qualified (or finalist)
• 3–5+ years' experience in Australian public practice
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio with limited supervision
• Strong technical knowledge across tax and compliance — business services background ideal
• Experience reviewing and mentoring junior staff
• Excellent communication skills and a client-first mindset
• Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, or similar cloud accounting software
