We're recruiting on behalf of a premier Australian commercial law firm renowned for its innovative, commercially focused advice and involvement in some of the country's most significant landmark transactions. This firm advises a diverse mix of Australian and international corporations, high-net worth individuals and large family businesses.

About The Role - Melbourne & Sydney

This role provides comprehensive secretarial and administrative support across litigation, regulatory disputes and advisory matters, working closely with partners and lawyers in a highly collaborative, client-focused environment.

Disputes work is fast-paced and genuinely varied, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys the reactive nature of litigation support.

This is a fully on-site role, five days a week, with a fantastic range of perks on offer including gym memberships, team events, health checks, insurance, daily breakfast, and a free coffee cafe on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, format and amend litigation documents, including pleadings, affidavits, witness statements, subpoenas, submissions and court books
  • Prepare, format and lodge court and tribunal documents, including electronic filing and service where required
  • Manage files, diaries and matters, including monitoring court dates, hearing dates, mediation dates and other litigation deadlines
  • Liaise with clients, courts, barristers' chambers, counsel, regulators and other firms
  • Coordinate logistics for court attendances, mediations, conferences and settlement meetings
  • Enter timesheet data, prepare client accounts (billing) and process expense claims
  • Conduct conflict searches and due diligence investigations

About You

  • Previous experience in a law firm, preferably private practice
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Outlook and Word skills
  • Accurate typing, spelling and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
  • Discretion and sound judgement handling confidential and legally privileged information
  • Knowledge of court and tribunal filing systems, or iManage/Aderant Expert, desirable
