About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join
our team. This role is ideal for a creative professional who is confident in
a client-facing position and has proven experience leading and
running projects from beginning to end. You will play a key role in delivering
high-quality design solutions while managing client relationships and guiding
projects through all stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage interior design projects from initial concept through to completion
- Act as the primary client-facing contact, building strong relationships and managing expectations
- Understand client requirements and translate them into creative and practical design solutions
- Develop design concepts, mood boards, space planning, and detailed documentation
- Prepare drawings and 3D visualisations
- Present design proposals to clients and incorporate feedback effectively
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure design intent is achieved
- Mentor and guide junior designers to maintain high design standards
- Source and specify materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting, FF&E Selections and have an eye for the material selections
Requirements
- Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience
- Strong client-facing and end-to-end project delivery experience
- Advanced Revit and AutoCAD skills; proficiency in SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong construction documentation, detailing and joinery capability
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, building codes and regulations
- Experience coordinating consultants, reviewing shop drawings and resolving site issues
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and quality control
- Availability to work full-time from our Melbourne studio
- Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia
Desirable
- Mandarin language proficiency is highly regarded, given our work across Asia and international client base.
