Associate Director/Director – Real Assets (Commercial)

Our client is a specialist Advisory firm focused on providing M&A, development, and capital advisory services within the Real Asset space. They work with investors, funds, developers, and corporates across Infrastructure, Energy, and Real Estate. Based in Sydney or Melbourne, they are looking to expand their team with a commercially astute professional to join at a senior level, working across mandates end-to-end and contributing to the growth of the business.

As part of the Investment & Capital Advisory team, you will lead and focus on the commercial and execution aspects across a range of real asset transactions, with a strong focus on project related mandates. You will also manage and mentor junior staff while contributing to origination activity.

Some key aspects of your role will include but not limited to:

• Identifying new opportunities and contributing to origination
• Transaction management including project timelines
• Managing deal processes and owning transaction workstreams
• Leading commercial negotiations and managing legal documentation
• Transaction structuring and oversight of financials
• Owning relationships with client and external stakeholders
• Managing and mentoring junior staff & contributing to recruitment

Tertiary qualified in Business, Commerce, Engineering and/or Law, you will have gained 6-15 years relevant experience in executing project-related roles across complex Infrastructure, Energy, or Real Estate transactions. Experience from advisors, real asset developers or investors, law firms, or corporates with active development projects is relevant and considered.
