Civil Superintendent

We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to join a major project team delivering large-scale bulk and detailed earthworks across a significant renewables/infrastructure project in WA.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Superintendent with a strong civil construction background who is confident managing projects valued between $10M and $50M and overseeing delivery from both an operational and commercial perspective.

Previous FMG experience and current/previous FMG site inductions will be highly regarded and are preferred.

The Role

As Civil Superintendent, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of civil works, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule and within budget.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, engineering team, client and subcontractors to coordinate site activities and drive project performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of bulk and detailed earthworks packages.
• Supervise and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and plant to achieve project milestones.
• Manage projects ranging from $10M–$50M in value.
• Monitor project progress, productivity and performance against established targets.
• Assist with project scheduling, planning and resource allocation.
• Manage project financial performance, including cost tracking and forecasting.
• Prepare, compile and submit progress claims and variations.
• Develop and maintain cashflow forecasts and project cost reporting.
• Monitor quantities, production and project performance against budget.
• Work closely with Project Controls to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Civil Superintendent within major civil construction projects.
• Strong experience delivering bulk and detailed earthworks.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects valued between $10M–$50M.
• Previous FMG project experience and site inductions preferred.
• Strong commercial and financial management capability.
• Experience with progress claims, variations and cashflow forecasting.
• Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling and reporting.
• Excellent client liaison and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead large site teams and coordinate multiple work fronts.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and project delivery.
• An engineering background is preferred but not essential.
• Previous renewables experience will be highly regarded.
