The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting experienced

Senior Engineering Surveyors for a leading Australian civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of major projects across Western Australia.

With multiple projects across both Perth Metro and regional/FIFO locations, there are opportunities to suit surveyors looking for either a Perth-based role or the earning potential and roster options of FIFO work.

FIFO opportunities are available on 2:1 and 2:2 rosters, with site uplifts of up to 30% depending on the project and roster.

You'll play a key role in delivering surveying requirements across major civil, infrastructure, resources, defence and energy projects, while working closely with engineering and construction teams and providing technical leadership to junior surveyors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee surveying activities across major civil and infrastructure projects
• Carry out construction set-out, as-built surveys, alignment checks and volume calculations
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Operate modern surveying equipment including GPS, total stations, UAVs and laser scanners
• Ensure survey data is accurate, compliant and delivered within project requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior surveyors
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and construction teams
• Prepare survey reports, documentation and QA/QC records
• Identify and resolve technical surveying issues throughout project delivery
• Assist with project planning, programming and construction methodology where required
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and accuracy across all surveying activities

What We're Looking For:

• Tertiary qualification in Surveying, Spatial Sciences, Engineering or a related discipline
• 5+ years' experience in Engineering Surveying, ideally across major civil, infrastructure, mining or resources projects in WA
• Previous experience taking a lead role within a surveying team
• Strong technical capability across modern surveying equipment and software
• Excellent understanding of construction surveying and set-out requirements
• Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Strong QA/QC awareness and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and a practical approach to construction
• Previous FIFO experience highly regarded for FIFO opportunities
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Full Australian working rights
