Health, Safety and Environment Advisor | Commercial Construction

An established and growing commercial & industrial construction contractor delivering projects between $20m - $60m is looking to appoint an HSE Advisor to support the delivery of a strong pipeline of projects across Perth.

This is a great opportunity for an Advisor with 2+ years’ experience who wants to continue developing their career within a supportive construction business, while gaining exposure to larger and more complex projects.

Responsibilities

The Role Working closely with site and project teams, you will help drive a positive safety culture across project delivery, with responsibilities including:

• Supporting day-to-day HSE activities across construction sites
• Conducting site inspections, audits and risk assessments
• Reviewing SWMS and relevant safety documentation
• Assisting with incident investigations and reporting
• Supporting subcontractors with HSE compliance and expectations
• Maintaining project HSE documentation and reporting
• Working closely with Site Managers and project teams to promote proactive safety behaviours

About You

We’re Looking For Someone With

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HSE/WHS Advisor role
• Previous experience within commercial construction highly regarded
• Relevant WHS/OHS qualification
• Good knowledge of WA safety legislation and construction requirements
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with site teams and subcontractors
• A practical, proactive approach to safety
• A genuine desire to continue learning and developing within HSE
