Your New Job

As a Junior Business Advisor / Analyst, you'll support a range of high-profile projects helping Australian businesses navigate and succeed within the defence industry.

You'll gain hands-on experience across research, business advisory, market analysis, bid support, stakeholder engagement and strategic planning while working closely with senior consultants and industry experts.

Key responsibilities include

  • Conducting research into defence programmes, major contractors, government initiatives, tenders and market opportunities
  • Analysing data and industry information to identify trends, opportunities and strategic insights
  • Preparing professional reports, presentations, briefing papers and client deliverables
  • Supporting tender submissions, grant applications, capability statements and business development activities
  • Maintaining opportunity pipelines, market intelligence databases and stakeholder records
  • Assisting with workshops, client engagements and industry events
  • Developing dashboards, spreadsheets and data-driven insights to support decision-making
  • Contributing to business improvement initiatives and marketing activities

About You / What You Need to Succeed

We're looking for a motivated graduate or early-career professional who is curious, analytical, and eager to build a career within Australia's defence industry.

You'll bring:

  • Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance
  • Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Public Policy or a related discipline
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, professional reports and business documents
  • Excellent research and analytical capability
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
  • A professional approach when engaging with clients and stakeholders

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to defence, manufacturing, engineering or technology environments
  • Experience with market research, data analytics, dashboards or CRM systems
  • Experience preparing reports, tenders, grants or business submissions
