Turf Maintenance Officer

• Based at Freeway Golf Course Depot - Balwyn North
• $73,273 - $78,901 plus super and 9-day fortnight

Help maintain some of Melbourne's premier sportsgrounds

We’re looking for Turf Maintenance Officers (x2) to join our Open Space and Trees team and help maintain the quality, performance and presentation of our sportsgrounds across the municipality. These hands-on roles are ideal for experienced turf professionals who enjoy working outdoors and take pride in delivering high-quality playing surfaces.

About The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader Sportsgrounds, you will:

• Undertake sportsground maintenance, mowing, turf renovations and irrigation works.
• Operate specialised turf maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Identify and address turf, irrigation and asset maintenance issues.
• Assist in maintaining safe, high-quality sporting surfaces across Council's 54 sportsgrounds.

About You

You will have:

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management including equivalent industry experience.
• Experience maintaining sportsgrounds and/or golf course turf.
• Experience operating turf maintenance machinery and irrigation systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
