Hydra Search is partnering with a leading technology business developing advanced software solutions across engineering, spatial technology, cloud platforms, and large-scale data.

They are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join a team solving complex data engineering challenges at scale.

About the opportunity

• Design and build large-scale data ingestion and ETL pipelines.
• Work with multiple data sources and keep different representations of data synchronised as it continuously changes.
• Build robust systems for data transformation, processing, and distribution.
• Contribute to scalable cloud-native architecture within AWS.
• Work on an exciting new data platform.
• Work across backend services, databases, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Solve complex data engineering problems in a technically challenging product environment.
• Work with technologies including Go, C#, distributed databases, and search platforms.

About you

• Strong experience in large-scale data transformation and data management.
• Proven experience building ETL/data ingestion pipelines.
• Experience managing data across multiple sources, systems, or representations.
• Strong backend/software engineering experience with Go, C#, or similar.
• Experience with AWS and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of databases and scalable data architectures.
• Spatial experience is a bonus, not essential.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative Agile engineering environment.
