The role
We are seeking an ambitious corporate and commercial lawyer who enjoys working on sophisticated transactions, taking responsibility for matters and developing trusted client relationships. You will work directly with business owners, founders, boards, senior executives and investors, providing strategic and commercially focused advice.
You will advise on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, business sales and acquisitions, private capital investments, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, business structuring, corporate governance and commercial contracts. You will be involved throughout the transaction lifecycle from initial structuring and due diligence through to drafting, negotiation and completion.
You will work closely with senior lawyers and specialists across the firm, while having the autonomy to manage matters and engage directly with clients. The role offers the opportunity to develop your technical and commercial skills, contribute to significant transactions and become a valued adviser to clients across all stages of their business lifecycle.
You will have:
- 4–8 years’ post-admission experience in private practice;
- strong experience in corporate transactions and general commercial matters;
- excellent commercial judgement and the ability to identify key legal issues;
- strong commercial acumen and the ability to build trusted relationships with a diverse range of clients;
- experience managing matters independently, with appropriate supervision;
- superior analytical, communication, negotiation and drafting skills; and
- a collaborative approach and strong client relationship skills.
