The Role

RSGx is currently seeking an experienced

E&I Commissioning Supervisor to join a major mining project in Newman, WA.

We are looking for someone with previous commissioning experience within mining and processing plants, along with previous experience as a Supervisor on BHP WAIO sites.

Mandatory Requirements

• Full Australian working rights
• S26 Qualification advantageous
• Instrumentation Certification
• Current A Grade WA Electrical Licence
• Previous experience as an E&I Supervisor on BHP WAIO sites would be advantageous
• Previous commissioning experience within mining and processing plants
• Working at Heights, Gas test atmosphere, Confined spaces
• Current Driver’s Licence

Key Responsibilities Include

• Supervise and coordinate E&I commissioning activities, teams and subcontractors.
• Plan daily commissioning works in line with the project schedule.
• Coordinate pre-commissioning, energisation, functional testing and commissioning of E&I systems.
• Oversee commissioning of LV/MV/HV systems, MCCs, switchboards, transformers, motors and VSDs.
• Supervise instrumentation checks, loop checks, calibration and functional testing.
• Support commissioning of crushers, conveyors, transfer stations, feeders, stackers and material-handling systems.
• Coordinate testing of PLC, SCADA, control and communications systems.
• Manage commissioning punch lists, defects, rectification and close-out documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and control-system issues and coordinate resolution with project teams.
• Ensure isolations, permits, switching and LOTO requirements are followed.
• Provide visible safety leadership, including pre-starts and toolbox meetings.
• Ensure commissioning activities comply with BHP standards, project specifications, QA requirements and approved procedures.
• Support system handover and final commissioning documentation.
