Technical Sales Representative - Waterproofing

PERSOL is recruiting a Technical Sales Representative on behalf of a leading manufacturer within the chemical products sector.

This is an opportunity for someone with a solid waterproofing background who is ready to move into, or further develop, a technical sales career.

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of waterproofing membranes, systems and applications
• Experience in waterproofing, coatings, remedial construction, tiling or similar.
• 1-2 years' sales experience would be highly regarded
• Trade qualifications or hands-on experience in waterproofing, tiling or coatings are advantageous
• Confident communicator who enjoys working with customers and industry professionals
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Unrestricted Australian working rights

The Opportunity

Working across the WA market, you will combine your technical waterproofing knowledge with a strong customer focus to help grow the company's specialist product range.

You will spend time with contractors, applicators, consultants, builders, architects and engineers, helping them identify the right waterproofing solutions for their projects while developing new commercial opportunities.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

• Building and maintaining relationships with customers and key industry contacts
• Providing product advice and technical assistance
• Attending sites and supporting customers with product applications
• Delivering product demonstrations and training where required
• Working with customers and project stakeholders to support product selection and specification
• Developing new business opportunities and maintaining existing accounts
• Working closely with internal technical and product teams to support customers

About You

You may currently be working hands-on in the waterproofing or construction industry, or already have experience selling similar poducts.

The most important thing is your technical understanding of waterproofing and your ability to confidently communicate that knowledge to customers.
