CareCone Is Hiring: Senior Software Engineer – Java / Golang

Location: Anywhere in Australia

Duration: 6 Months

Mandatory Requirement: Australian Citizenship and NV1 or higher Government Security Clearance

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong Java development expertise and exposure to Golang, microservices, high-performance networking and modern DevOps practices.

Required Technical Skills

• Java: Advanced proficiency in Java development
• Golang: Strong proficiency preferred
• Microservices & APIs: Spring Boot, API development and deployment
• Network Protocols: Experience decoding and processing high-performance network protocols
• API Gateways: WSO2 or NGINX
• DevOps Tools: Bamboo, Jira, Bitbucket / GitLab, SonarQube and Veracode
• Containers: Docker and Kubernetes
• Databases: MySQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse or similar relational and non-relational databases
• Messaging Systems: Kafka and ActiveMQ

Key Expectations

• Develop and deploy scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices
• Work with network protocols and distributed systems
• Follow secure coding, code quality and DevOps practices
• Collaborate effectively within a close-knit engineering team
• Manage competing priorities and deliver across multiple projects
• Contribute to reliable, secure and scalable software solutions
