Our client

Our client is a reputable organisation based in Melbourne CBD who is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support with data analysis and auditing for a backpay project. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with strong Excel skills who enjoys working with large amounts of data, problem-solving, and contributing to project-based environments.

About the Role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will assist with payroll and HR data tasks during a busy review period. This is a hands-on position requiring excellent attention to detail, careful data validation, and support for system clean-up and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with payroll processing including back-dated and manual data entry
• Support the annual salary review including back-pay and split pay run adjustments
• Review and validate staff work schedules to ensure payroll accuracy
• Review & organise large amounts of payroll data using excel.
• Extract reports and support reconciliations
• Assist with SharePoint clean-up - reviewing and structuring data into electronic files
• Provide general project support with payroll processes

About You

• Previous experience working on large, data driven, payroll projects
• While not essential, Chris21/iChris experience is highly advantageous
• Must have experience processing end to end payroll in Australia.
• Confident using Excel at an intermediate level or above
• Very Strong attention to detail - methodical and accurate
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
