THE OPPORTUNITY

A great opportunity to join a leading global professional services firm as a Manager in their Business Advisory team in Melbourne. Our client offers the scale, resources and global network of a major firm, combined with a people-centric and collaborative culture that genuinely invests in developing its people. This is a role for a Chartered Accountant ready to lead a team, own client relationships and act as a true trusted advisor.

THE ROLE

This is a genuine leadership role that combines technical review, client advisory and people management. Day to day you will:

  • Review work papers, financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and super funds
  • Deliver complex tax planning and practical, commercial advice that adds real value to clients’ businesses
  • Design, develop and analyse financial models and management accounting reports
  • Identify, research and resolve complex accounting issues
  • Manage team workflow and communicate closely with the partners on client matters
  • Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members, introducing them to clients as they grow
  • Contribute to business development by cross selling firm services and building relationships with new clients and referrers

ABOUT YOU

  • Business or Commerce degree
  • CA qualified or equivalent
  • Five to seven years’ experience in professional services
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team
  • Strong communication skills and a sharp eye for detail
  • Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team
  • Business development exposure is highly regarded
  • Full Australian working rights
