Partner – Wills & Estates

We’re partnering with Marshall Dent Wilmoth (MDW), an established Victorian law firm, to appoint an experienced Wills & Estates lawyer as a Partner and practice leader, focused on estate planning and administration. Lead an existing team, advise on complex private-client matters and shape the practice’s next stage of growth.

• Lead an established Wills & Estates team and develop its people.
• Complex estate planning and administration, supported by cross-firm referrals.
• A leadership opportunity for an experienced partner or senior lawyer ready for the next step.

About you

You are an experienced Wills & Estates lawyer with strong technical depth, sound commercial judgement and a collaborative leadership style. You may be a partner, special counsel or senior lawyer ready for the next step. Accredited specialist status would be valuable, but is not mandatory.

You enjoy building trusted relationships with private clients and professional advisers. You can support experienced colleagues, develop junior lawyers and take a practical approach to growing a practice. Your experience includes:

• Complex estate planning, trusts and succession arrangements, including advice for high-net-worth clients.
• Probate and estate administration, with the judgement to manage sensitive family and financial issues.
• Working collaboratively with litigation colleagues where estate disputes arise.
• Leading and mentoring a team, managing client relationships and developing referral networks.

About Marshall Dent Wilmoth

MDW has an established private-client practice, experienced lawyers and support staff, and referrals from Family Law and Commercial colleagues. The incoming partner will lead estate planning and administration, coordinate the team and collaborate with Litigation on contested matters.
