Cloud Architect / Engineer

Love designing cloud solutions but still want to get your hands dirty building them? This could be right up your alley.

We're looking for an experienced Cloud Architect / Engineer who enjoys the best of both worlds – designing smart, scalable cloud solutions and getting hands-on to bring them to life.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your days producing architecture diagrams and handing everything over to someone else. We need someone who can think strategically, solve complex technical challenges and roll up their sleeves to get things done.

Working within a cloud enablement team, you'll help shape, build and improve enterprise cloud environments, while sharing your knowledge and helping internal teams grow their capability.

What you'll be getting involved in

• Designing and implementing secure, scalable AWS or Azure cloud solutions.
• Getting hands-on with cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, storage and security.
• Building and improving cloud landing zones, governance and architecture standards.
• Using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK) to automate deployments.
• Supporting cloud migrations, integrations and infrastructure improvements.
• Working alongside infrastructure, security and application teams to solve technical challenges.
• Creating technical documentation and sharing your knowledge through mentoring and handovers.

What they want your experience to show

You're an experienced cloud professional who knows their way around complex enterprise environments and enjoys finding practical solutions.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Strong experience in AWS or Azure architecture and hands-on engineering.
• A solid infrastructure background, with experience designing and delivering enterprise cloud solutions.
• Experience with cloud landing zones, networking, identity management and security.
• Hands-on skills with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation and DevOps practices.
• Experience working across cloud migrations or transformation projects.
• The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work collaboratively with different teams.
• A willingness to mentor others and share your technical knowledge.

AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification would be highly regarded.

You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact in a complex enterprise environment, working across both architecture and delivery. There's plenty of scope to influence how things are designed, introduce improvements and help build a stronger internal cloud capability.
