We started as a boutique agency servicing Melbourne’s white-collar construction and civil markets, and we now also place blue-collar trades and labour across construction, civil, manufacturing, subcontracting and mining. We have a team of 45 across Australia, and strong client demand means we’re growing our Melbourne office.

The role

You’ll join our VIC Blue Collar team and run a busy temp desk that keeps projects across the state staffed. This is a 360-degree role: you’ll win and manage clients, source and place candidates, and look after workers while they’re on assignment.

What you’ll do day to day

• Manage and maintain existing client relationships across the construction, civil, manufacturing and mining industries
• Recruit temporary and permanent blue collar candidates, including trades and labour
• Run a 360-degree recruitment desk, including candidate sourcing, screening, client management, and placement delivery
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with prospective clients
• Utilise Fetch’s 10+ year database and established networks to build talent pipelines of skilled workers
• Maintain regular communication with both clients and workers on assignment to ensure strong relationships and successful placements

Our Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years’ experience in recruitment
• Proven billing history on a blue-collar desk in Victoria
• Thorough knowledge of the Victorian recruitment market
• 360-degree recruitment experience, with strong sales and negotiation skills
• Labour hire or temp desk experience (preferred)
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under time pressure
