Social Account Manager
Pivotal Conversations
We're Pivotal Conversations – Home of Australia's most aesthetic podcast studios.
We help creators, entrepreneurs, and execs make content people can't ignore. Think millions of eyeballs, organic reach, and the kind of brand presence that makes competitors jealous.
About The Role
We're looking for a social-native Social Account Manager to join our Social team in Melbourne. Every week our clients record conversations, and somewhere inside each one are the 30 seconds that will stop someone's scroll. Your job is to find them.
You'll own a small roster of client accounts end to end: picking the moments worth clipping, briefing our production team, signing off the edits, packaging and publishing across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and LinkedIn, and reporting back to the client on what worked.
Our production team handles the editing, so this isn't an editing role. From short-form to long-form content, you'll grow a deep understanding of what works for each of your clients and why.
Success in the Role
- Social Native: You're on short-form every day, and you notice why a clip worked, not just that it did
- Amazing at Clipping: You can watch a long conversation and spot the 30 seconds worth clipping, every time
- Sharp Judgment: Your clip picks and packaging calls land, and you can explain why
- Flexible: You're comfortable moving between short-form and long-form work as clients need
- People First: You build trust with clients, and you can lead a conversation even when you disagree
- Cool Under Pressure: You hit publishing deadlines across several accounts at once
- Data-Informed: You judge a clip against the size of the account
- Curious: You'll go deep on topics you didn't expect to care about
What You'll Need
- A social-first, native instinct for what performs on YouTube and short-form (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn)
- An exceptional eye for clipping: the moment, the hook and where the cut lands
- Flexibility to work across short-form and long-form content
- 2+ years managing social content for brands, creators or clients, agency or in-house
- Experience briefing editors or creatives, and giving clear feedback on edits
- Packaging skills: titles, hooks, captions and thumbnail direction
- Confidence reporting on performance and turning it into next steps
- Strong client communication, written and verbal
- Strong project management, with the ability to juggle several accounts and deadlines
What You'll Do
- Watching client episodes and picking clip moments: timestamps, hook and platform
- Briefing our editors, then reviewing and signing off what comes back
- Packaging content: titles, hooks, captions and thumbnail direction in each client's voice
- Deciding what goes out where and when across YouTube and short-form
- Reporting to clients on what worked, and using it to make the next round better
- Owning the day-to-day relationship with your clients
Why Join Us
- Competitive Remuneration: We value your talent.
- Incentives on offer for the right candidate
- High Growth Company: Join Australia's only national podcast agency
- Growth Opportunity: A chance to grow and learn in a fast-paced, innovative environment, with opportunities to grow within the business
Our Promise
Our culture at Pivotal Conversations is one of high performance. If you're looking for easy, joining our team isn't for you. If you're looking to surround yourself with competence, and a role that will challenge you (AKA growth), then you will love joining our team.
