OT Security Engineer

A major critical infrastructure company is looking for a hands-on OT Security Engineer to join their team on a 2-year fixed-term contract. This is a field-facing, delivery-focused role - you'll be getting out to operational sites, working directly with engineers, and driving real security uplift across their OT environment.

What you'll be doing

• Rolling out endpoint detection capabilities across OT/ICS sites
• Integrating OT logs into the SOC
• Conducting controls assessments and driving uplift across sites
• Engaging directly with site engineers to validate and implement security controls
• Travelling to operational sites to install software and assess environments
• Writing and maintaining technical documentation

What we're looking for

• 3–5 years in OT, ICS, or industrial cybersecurity
• Hands-on SCADA experience and solid knowledge of ICS protocols
• Endpoint vulnerability management and detection & response experience
• Credibility with operational and engineering teams — not just a desk person
• Prior experience on operational sites (power stations, utilities) a big plus
• Melbourne-based preferred; open to Sydney
