About The Role
With continued growth across Australia, TSA Riley is seeking an experienced Principal of Cost Management in Melbourne to lead and grow our cost management capability across both Property & Infrastructure sectors.
Based in Melbourne, this senior leadership role will support a diverse and expanding portfolio of work across metropolitan and regional Victoria. You will work across a broad range of property projects including Commercial, Education, Retail, Residential, Health, Aged Care, Arts & Culture and Aviation, alongside infrastructure programs spanning Water, Utilities, Energy, Roads, Rail and broader Transport. Our clients include government agencies, asset owners, developers and delivery partners across both the public and private sectors.
About the Role As a senior leader within TSA Riley’s Victorian Cost Management practice, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end cost consultancy and quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle — from feasibility, business case and procurement through to delivery, commercial close-out and final account.
You Will Play a Key Role In
- Leading and overseeing complex cost management engagements across property and infrastructure projects
- Acting as a trusted commercial advisor to clients, influencing delivery models, procurement strategies and commercial outcomes
- Strengthening long-term client relationships and identifying new opportunities across Victoria
- Mentoring, developing and growing a high-performing cost management team
- Contributing to the strategic direction, market growth and integrated service offering of TSA Riley in Victoria
About You
- 10+ years' experience in cost management or quantity surveying, including experience in a senior or leadership role.
- Chartered status with RICS
- Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen with the ability to obtain security clearances.
- Proven experience on delivering projects across key sectors such as education, commercial, or retirement living.
- Proven experience in Business Generation.
- Strong commercial acumen and client-facing experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
- Proficient in CostX or similar cost management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- A proactive leader with the ability to mentor, motivate and grow a high-performing team.
- Demonstrated understanding of Cost Planning stages and construction methodology.
