About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a major food manufacturing operation in Canning Vale.
This role will oversee production activities across food manufacturing operations, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards within a highly automated FMCG environment.
The business is seeking a strong frontline leader who can lead by example, drive accountability, reinforce operational standards, and positively influence team culture across shift operations.
The site operates across multiple production lines on a 24-hour manufacturing schedule, supplying high-volume products into the Australian market.
Two shift structures are available:
- Monday to Friday | 2:00am starts.
- Friday to Monday | Combination of 2:00am and 10:00am starts.
- 8-hour shifts.
This position reports directly to the Shift Manager and will lead teams ranging from approximately 11-16 employees depending on the production area.
Key responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations across production areas.
- Drive safety, quality, delivery, and operational performance outcomes.
- Lead, coach, and develop frontline production teams.
- Reinforce GMP, hygiene, and food safety standards across operations.
- Promote accountability and positive team behaviours.
- Support a strong safety-first culture and lead safety initiatives onsite.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing KPIs including OEE, waste, labour utilisation, and service delivery performance.
- Support continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with production procedures, quality systems, and operational standards.
- Coordinate performance management, training, onboarding, and employee development activities.
- Participate in operational performance meetings and support site-wide improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the following:
- Leadership experience within FMCG or food manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of GMP and food manufacturing standards.
- Proven ability to lead teams within fast-paced manufacturing operations.
- Experience driving behavioural standards, accountability, and culture change.
- Exposure to automated production environments and continuous manufacturing operations.
- Experience working with manufacturing KPIs including safety, quality, OEE, waste, and service delivery metrics.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- SAP exposure is advantageous but not essential.
