We're embedded with a major Perth-based client on a serious industrial transformation. The platform our DevOps engineer builds sits underneath mission-critical AI and distributed systems running across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. It has to be resilient, observable, and reliable in demanding operational conditions.

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to own the CI/CD, container platforms, infrastructure-as-code, and observability layer that keeps the whole system humming.

What you'll be doing

• Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mission-critical systems
• Managing Kubernetes-based platforms and containerised workloads
• Implementing infrastructure-as-code and environment automation
• Enabling reliable deployments across hybrid cloud and on-prem (AWS, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Building observability into production: logging, monitoring, and alerting
• Driving reliability, performance, and scalability of production environments
• Collaborating with software engineers and data scientists on deployment patterns and incident response

What you'll bring

• 6+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering
• Strong Linux administration with scripting in Bash, Python, or similar
• Production experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
• Hands-on with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, or Artifactory
• AWS experience across services such as EC2, Lambda, and SageMaker
• Observability tooling such as Prometheus, Loki, or similar
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and networking fundamentals

Desirable

• Background in industrial, operational technology, or large-scale enterprise environments
• Exposure to high-availability or real-time systems
• Experience operating workloads across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments
